Our next “Behind the Seams” Quilt Show is coming up June 3 and 4, 2023. It
will take over the Brighton Community Centre at 75 Elizabeth Street in Brighton,
Ontario.
There will be so much to see! We expect a large number of quilts because of the
creativity that came out of COVID restrictions—for some of us, so much more time
to sew! And not just quilts—wearables, art quilts, table placemats, runners,
bags, rugs, and many more imaginative items.
There will be a market where our members’ talents are displayed in items for
sale. Our Café will be decorated with wall hangings for your enjoyment as you
have lunch and a hot or cold drink.
Vendors will be onsite for your retail pleasure! Fabrics, notions,
tools—everything you need to start or continue in your quilting adventure.
Feeling lucky? Our Raffle Baskets are chock full of items you’ll love!
Displays of Quilts of Valour and Comfort Quilts—two worthy projects that bring
love to our community. Visit and find out how you might enjoy being part of
these groups. Buy a raffle ticket on a quilt made and donated by Bill Stearman,
in support of Comfort Quilts.
Our featured quilter is our own Judy Gray, who will display her prize-winning
wool appliqué quilts and other items, and give us a peak into her home business
venture, Foxton Woolens.
We are exploring the possibility of a mobile sharpening service.
Trent Valley Quilters’ Guild looks forward to seeing you at our Quilt Show! Look
for the butterfly identifier our members will be wearing at the show if you have
any questions.
